My new Sigma lens and the Triggertrap

Saturday I bought my new lens, the Sigma AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM Contemporary Nikon, which is intended as an allround lens for everyday use and my new study at the Fotovakschool that is starting coming september. The wide focal range comes in handy when you are on the go and are in need for flexibility.

Together with the lens I bought a Triggertrap, a device which connects your smartphone to your DSLR and makes it an advanced trigger device, with many creative settings like timelapses and star trails. It comes with an app for Android or iOS, which controls the functions of the device. This morning I created a short timelapse to try out that feature:

What I love about the Triggertap is the number of features it offers in relation to it’s price, I bought it for € 26,95 in The Netherlands. Experimenting with the features the app has is really cool!

This evening is also took a walk in my neighbourhood to test out my lens, and i’m amazed by it’s performance. It’s my favourite lens now!
